Corporate Leadership Programme
Research carried out by The Portland Trust has demonstrated that the Palestinian private sector's leading companies are interested in, and would benefit significantly from, access to international training and know-how at a senior level. To meet this need The Portland Trust is bringing international business leaders and corporate experts to the Palestinian Territory to coach senior executives. A range of business strategy, finance and leadership topics have been and continue to be covered. After dinner speaking events provide further opportunity for international business leaders to share their experiences with the Palestinian private sector.
The programme started in February 2010 and four sessions were held in the first year. The initial session took place in Jericho on mergers and acquisitions. This was followed by sessions on private equity and venture capital (May 2010), corporate governance (October 2010) and capacity building (January 2011). A fifth session on investor relations is scheduled for 20 June 2011.
